Prayer for Each Other
Prayer Partners
Intercessory Prayer (praying on behalf of others).
All Christians are called to be “intercessors.”
All Christians have the Holy Spirit in their hearts and, just as the Holy Spirit intercedes for us in accordance with God’s will, we are to intercede for one another.
“In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness.
We do not know what we ought to pray for,
but the Spirit himself intercedes for us
with groans that words cannot express.
And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit,
because the Spirit intercedes for the saints
in accordance with God’s will….” Romans 8:26-27
“As for me, far be it from me to sin against the Lord by ceasing to pray for you…”1 Samuel, 13:23
“Pray for one another…”James 5:16
Almighty Father in heaven,
Hold my prayer partner close to you today,
Bless (______) in whatever it is You know
(he/she) needs this day.
Dry (his/her) tears if (he/she) weeps;
sanctify (his/her) joys; raise their courage if they weaken;
restore (his/her) hope if they lose heart;
strengthen (his/her) health if (he/she) be ill;
Help (him/her) to repent if (he/she) fails;
and encourage (him/her) to seek
a closer relationship with You.
In Jesus Christ's name I pray,
who lives and reigns with the Father and the Holy Spirit
One God forever and ever.
