" In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you". Even with its special challenges, be thankful for God's blessings throughout this past year - 2020 and into the year 2021.
Sadly, we are returning to no in-person worship. Due to the increase in Covid cases and a letter from the Bishop the ReLaunch Team decided to discontinue in-person worship at this time. We are hopeful that this will be only for a short period of time. You may still listen to the radio instead of coming to church. A FaceBook post will continue being provided on the Summersville Memorial United Methodist Church page. A YouTube channel is set up for those that are interested, especially those that aren't on FaceBook. Tune in to the radio station 92.9 FM as there will be a broadcast at 11:00 AM on Sunday. Feel free to call the church office especially between 9 and 10 AM if you have prayer requests, needs, or just want to talk.
A Christmas Eve service is on Facebook.
Joshua 1:9  Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.
Teddy Bears collected to be given to emergency services for children in crisis.
Continue praying for Pastor Carolyn Mash and our church that we may splash others with God's love. Pray for our hurting world/ country. Our beloved United States of America!
Hard to believe this was over a year ago. Looking forward to more luncheons after the Covid 19 has decreased.
Thanks to all who attended a welcome luncheon for Pastor Carolyn on July 14th right after church.

Pray for our doctors and all health care providers during this time of Covid 19. Pray for our world. Pray for the unrest in our country: United States of America. Pray for God's wisdom.
Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. Matthew 5:9

Memorial United Methodist Members and Friends Vision is:
To Reach Out in the name of Christ, Receiving All with Love and
To Live as Disciples of Jesus and To Proclaim God’s Love.

Prayer by people in the pews gives a pastor power in the pulpit.

Open Hearts   Open Minds    Open Doors

Wherever there is human need,
there is opportunity to serve.

When have you recently said 'Lord, please send someone else?'
What's the best excuse you use to avoid doing something you feel
God may be prompting you to do?

How have you learned to overcome internal resistance to do something purposeful for Christ?
