May we pause this 4th of July to pray earnestly for our troubled nation.

Dear God, we come to you with broken hearts for the people who have been hurt or killed because of the color of their skin. We come with broken hearts for our cities where protests have become violent. Enlarge our hearts. Let us remember that our eyes have never seen anyone whom You do not love deeply. With humble hearts, in Jesus' name, we pray.
Worship in person is now in progress. You may still listen to the radio instead of coming to church. A FaceBook post will continue being provided. Tune in to the radio station 92.9 FM as there will be a broadcast at 11:00 AM on Sunday. Feel free to call the church office especially between 9 and 10 AM if you have prayer requests, needs, or just want to talk. It is recommended that masks be worn by those choosing to attend especially entering and exiting the church building where 6 foot rule may be hard to maintain. Enter the church at the back entrance only. Front doors will be locked. An usher will lead you to your seat, and then lead you out after worship service. There will be no congregational singing in the service at this time.  Of course, if you don't feel well, please worship at home.

Joshua 1:9  Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.

Thank you, Lord, for Your Light
that shines into our lives and hearts.

Create in us a longing to follow Your Star of Light
Wherever it leads us.

The Lord God which gathereth the outcasts of Israel saith, Yet will I gather others to him, beside those that are gathered unto him.

I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.

2 Corinthians 3:4-6 Such is the confidence that we have through Christ toward God. Not that we are sufficient in ourselves to claim anything as coming from us, but our sufficiency is from God, who has made us sufficient to be ministers of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit. For the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

2 Corinthians 1:3  Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort

2 Corinthians 4:17-18   For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

Ephesians 6:10  Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.

Psalm 61:1-3 Hear my cry, O Lord: attend unto my prayer. From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I. For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy.

Ephesians 6:16-18  Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able  to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.

Psalm 19:14   Let the words of my mouth, and the meditations of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord my strength, and my redeemer.

Open Hearts   Open Minds    Open Doors

Wherever there is human need,
there is opportunity to serve.

When have you recently said 'Lord, please send someone else?'
What's the best excuse you use to avoid doing something you feel
God may be prompting you to do?

How have you learned to overcome internal resistance to do something purposeful for Christ?
